AI Company Hiring People to Masturbate for $2,000 a Month

Social media lit up this week with a mix of disbelief, memes, and “where do I sign up?” energy after an AI company announced it was paying adults $2,000 to test guided masturbation sessions. Posts flooded X, Reddit, TikTok, and LinkedIn, with users joking about the ultimate work-from-bed gig while others questioned if it was another AI-fueled hoax.

Screenshots of the job listing spread fast. “Dream job” replies poured in alongside conspiracy theories that it was satire or clickbait. Some wondered if it was another scam preying on AI hype. But the company quickly shut down the doubt.

Joi AI, an NSFW AI companion platform formerly known as EVA AI, confirmed the posting on X:

“we’re hiring 10 Masturbation Consultants $2,000/month to test our new Daily Guided Masturbation feature and document the effects on stress, sleep and mood yes it’s real yes you get paid.”

The timing is deliberate. Joi AI launched the “Daily Guided Masturbation” feature during International Masturbation Month in May. Users pick a mood stressed, restless, distracted and an AI voice, sometimes featuring adult performers like Miss Molly, guides the session.

The company’s internal survey found 75% of adults masturbate to relieve stress or anxiety, 61% do it weekly, and 44% include it in bedtime routines. Joi positions the tool as wellness support, akin to meditation or sleep stories, but for pleasure.

This fits a larger trend of AI companies entering emotional and intimacy spaces. Platforms collect behavioral data to personalize experiences, raising questions about privacy, emotional dependency, and whether such studies represent genuine research or savvy viral marketing.

Critics debate the ethics of paid intimacy testing and data collection in adult tech. Supporters see it as sex-positive innovation in a growing market Joi AI claims over a million monthly users.

Only 10 spots are available, making it highly selective despite the flood of interest. Applications were open as of late May via their Typeform link.

In America’s attention-driven digital landscape, stories like this highlight the messy collision of AI, internet culture, online skepticism, and bold business moves. Whether it’s groundbreaking wellness tech or clever PR, Joi AI has successfully turned private pleasure into very public conversation.
