Ye posed with all four of his children at the Yeezy Season 01 runway show in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, marking a rare public appearance with the full group during the brand’s first major presentation in four years.
The artist, formerly known as Kanye West, stood alongside North West, 13, Saint West, 10, Chicago West, 8, and Psalm West, 7, at Droam 1, the label’s new flagship at 4317 Beverly Boulevard. The children share parents Ye and Kim Kardashian. Photographs from the event show the family clustered together in the venue as cameras and guests looked on.
North drew particular attention. She wore her long blue hair straight to her waist, paired with matching blue contact lenses, an oversized black coat and boots. Several observers noted her strong resemblance to her mother. She was also photographed with her stepmother, Bianca Censori. The three younger children appeared in coordinated monochrome and taupe looks. Ye wore black leather with a prominent gold-buckle belt.
Censori, 31, an Australian architect and Ye’s wife, attended in a one-piece jumpsuit with a plunging neckline. The gathering stood out because Ye is frequently seen in public with North but far less often with Saint, Chicago and Psalm together.
The show itself began around 8 p.m. Models in minimal, monochromatic clothing walked in circles around a large white hill rather than a traditional linear runway. Unreleased tracks by Ye played as part of the soundtrack. One lyric fragment that circulated afterward read, “I went through your likes/Who the hell is Ike?… I went through your phone/Who the hell is Tone?” The presentation was streamed on Kick.
Guests included Kid Cudi, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, ASAP Nast, Jerry Lorenzo, Natalie Nunn, T-Pain and King Combs. Rapper Nettspend walked in the show. The event doubled as a statement for the brand’s first brick-and-mortar location.
Yeezy Season 01 is the label’s first full runway collection since Season 9 in Paris in October 2022. After Adidas ended its partnership that same month, the brand has operated independently, focusing first on direct-to-consumer essentials and later adding distribution through JD Sports. New footwear, including the Yeezy 800 and AB-01 Alpha boot, is scheduled for December. The decision to restart the numbering at Season 01 signals a deliberate break from the earlier sequence.
In January, Ye published a full-page advertisement in The Wall Street Journal titled “To Those I’ve Hurt,” in which he addressed past statements and linked some of his behavior to bipolar disorder connected to an undiagnosed brain injury from a 2002 car accident. A recent out-of-court settlement with Adidas resolved remaining legal claims without payments from either side.
On the same night in New York, Kim Kardashian was photographed with Jennifer Lawrence after appearing on Late Night With Seth Meyers. The two left the Four Seasons Hotel in matching SKIMS pajamas and robes, later dining together. The parallel appearances underscored the separate public schedules of the co-parents.
Photos of Ye with his children at the Los Angeles event circulated widely on Thursday, with many focusing on North’s height relative to her father and the family’s coordinated presence at the relaunch.
