Ivy Ray Hatch, the 18-year-old son of Baton Rouge rapper Boosie Badazz, was arrested Thursday, October 22, 2026, in Livingston Parish, Louisiana, and booked on serious felony allegations tied to a reported robbery and battery.
Deputies from the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office responded around 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, to a battery call on Buffwood Street in Denham Springs. The victim reported being battered and robbed. Sheriff Jason Ard confirmed the investigation produced two arrests the next day: Hatch and an unidentified juvenile.
“The victim in this case reported being battered and robbed. Our investigation led to two arrests: Ivy Hatch and a juvenile. More arrests are expected as our investigation continues,”
Ard said.
Local outlets citing the sheriff’s office list four booking charges against Hatch: armed robbery, aggravated second-degree battery, possession of a firearm with drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Entertainment coverage, including TMZ, has also reported a fifth count of possession with intent to distribute drugs. That additional charge does not appear in the primary local sheriff-based accounts from WAFB, WBRZ, and Louisiana First News.
A judge set Hatch’s bond at $275,500. He posted it and was released the same day from the Livingston Parish Detention Center. The juvenile was taken to the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center. WBRZ later reported that Antonio Cooley, 19, and Calei Ely, 18, were also arrested in connection with the same robbery investigation.
Authorities have not released further details about the alleged incident, any injuries, what was taken, the specific drugs or firearm involved, or the evidence linking the suspects. The investigation remains active.
Boosie Badazz, whose legal name is Torrence Hatch, declined to comment when reached by media. At the time of the arrest he was in New York promoting a new media project he has described as “the new Netflix.”
An arrest is not a conviction. The allegations against Ivy Ray Hatch have not been proven in court, and he remains presumed innocent. No court date has been widely reported.
The case is still developing. Additional updates from the sheriff’s office or court filings could clarify remaining questions, including the exact charge list.
