Rapper Blueface was arrested Monday night in Santa Clarita and booked into Los Angeles County jail on suspicion of delaying a law enforcement investigation, according to a representative for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded at 7:43 p.m. to a report of a man pointing a gun at someone at a business in the Valencia area of Santa Clarita. One report placed the call at the 24200 block of Magic Mountain Parkway. When officers arrived, they detained several people, including Blueface, whose legal name is Johnathan Porter. Authorities said Porter refused to follow police commands, leading to his arrest.
Investigators later determined the emergency call was a swatting hoax—a false report designed to trigger a heavy police response. No gunman was found and no crime had occurred at the location. The incident unfolded while Porter was livestreaming on Kick.
Porter, 29, a Los Angeles native born January 20, 1997, rose to prominence with his distinctive off-beat rap style and the 2019 hit “Thotiana.” He has faced repeated swatting attempts since July 2026. Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies have responded multiple times to false reports of shootings, child endangerment and medical emergencies at his Canyon Country home and at his King of Crabs restaurant in Santa Clarita, often while he was live-streaming. Similar false calls have also drawn police in Miami.
The latest arrest comes while Porter remains on probation stemming from a 2022 shooting outside a Las Vegas strip club. He pleaded guilty to battery and discharging a firearm at or into an occupied structure. A Clark County judge sentenced him to probation not to exceed three years, with a suspended prison term of two to five years that could be imposed if he violates the terms.
Porter recently became engaged to longtime on-and-off partner Chrisean Rock, a rapper and reality television personality. He proposed on October 11 at Problem Lounge in Scottsdale, Arizona. The couple, who share a young son, had recently reconciled after Porter’s brief relationship with Nevaeh Akira, with whom he also has a child.
No additional charges related to the Monday night call have been announced. Porter’s booking into Los Angeles County jail was confirmed by the Sheriff’s Office representative cited by TMZ and other outlets.
