Bilibili App Store Release: Global Launch Set for September 2026

Apple has just given a green light to the app from Bilibili on its App Store globally in September 2026, according to a viral X post by @rkmtimes. This time, Bilibili, known as “China’s YouTube,” will gain millions of followers all around the world as well as employ community managers in the United States, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

In mid-August 2026, Bilibili relaunched its international-facing app. On August 19 its official creator account @bilibili_create posted:

“We’ve just launched the intl app globally (currently on Android, iOS coming soon; and more countries coming soon).”

The Android version is live on Google Play in many countries. Sign-up no longer requires passport or government ID just an email or phone number. Localization is tighter, AI translation helps mix Chinese and global content in one feed, and the app sports a pink icon with a small globe. Downloads climbed past 5 million quickly. An English-language website is also in the works.

Hiring is real. Community-manager roles have opened in Los Angeles, London, Mexico City, São Paulo, Istanbul, and Tokyo. Singapore posts focus on AI-powered moderation, recommendation systems, and multilingual tools. Bilibili already counts roughly 376 million monthly active users in China, most of them Gen Z, and is openly courting international creators.

Apple already lists “bilibili All Your Fav Videos” in the U.S. App Store and several other markets. Framing September 2026 as the platform’s first-ever Apple appearance is inaccurate.

Bilibili is not just another video app. It built its reputation on anime, gaming, livestreaming, and the distinctive “danmu” bullet comments that scroll across the screen in real time. A serious international push could put pressure on YouTube, TikTok, and anime-focused services. Success is far from guaranteed in a market already dominated by those platforms, but the lowered barriers and local hiring show the company is serious.

An official iOS announcement with country-by-country availability, concrete creator recruitment and monetization details, and whether Bilibili can actually convert curiosity into sustained U.S. users. The Android relaunch and staffing moves are underway. The September global iOS story remains a viral projection, not a confirmed timeline.
