Brevard Public Schools confirmed her employment was not renewed prior to the arrest. A district spokesperson stated:
“Miss Hancock was not renewed for employment prior to this arrest and will not be employed by Brevard Public Schools. It hurts to hear about these claims. While officials work through the details, we’re standing alongside them. Safety matters here – every student deserves space where they can learn without worry.”
