QueenKema, the mother of the late King Von’s son Dayvon Jr., has opened up about maintaining strict boundaries in her dating life as she continues to co-parent the young boy.
In recent social media clips and posts, Kema — who goes by @kemaaaaa_____ online — revealed that her son has never been around any man she has dated or been in a relationship with. She explained her reasoning plainly: “I feel like it would do more damage than good.”
The comments come years after the death of Chicago drill rapper King Von (born Dayvon Daquan Bennett), who was killed in Atlanta in November 2020 at age 26. At the time of his passing, Dayvon Jr. was still very young. Kema has emphasized her focus on providing stability for her son while navigating life in the public eye as a single mother.
Kema also addressed the challenges of dating in her hometown, stating that she struggles to pursue relationships in Chicago because “they all know Von.” The late rapper remains a major figure in the city’s drill scene, with a lasting legacy tied to his music, Only The Family (OTF) affiliation, and street reputation. She has suggested looking outside the city for potential partners to avoid complications stemming from preconceptions, gossip, or associations linked to Von’s name.
In addition to her parenting approach, Kema has pushed back against rumors regarding her lifestyle, clarifying that she works independently as a Captain in the Army.
Her stance has sparked conversation online, with some praising the protective boundary as a thoughtful way to shield Dayvon Jr. from potential emotional confusion or repeated attachment issues — a common concern for children who lose a parent at a young age. Others point out the importance of positive male role models in a boy’s life, even as romantic partners remain separate.

Kema frequently shares moments with her son on social media, from everyday boy-mom experiences to lighthearted anecdotes, such as Dayvon Jr. mentioning a classroom “girlfriend.” She has presented herself as intentional about giving him a consistent and stable childhood amid the heavy shadow of his father’s tragic legacy.
The situation highlights the unique difficulties faced by partners of high-profile artists lost to violence, particularly within tight-knit hip-hop and street-affiliated circles where personal relationships often intersect with public scrutiny and longstanding reputations.
Kema continues to prioritize her role as a mother while addressing ongoing public interest in her personal life and co-parenting decisions.
