Robinson, described as shy and respectful, was a standout student. Tyler Robinson had a 4.0 GPA and an ACT score in the top 1% of America. He traveled the world with his parents and appeared incredibly happy in his younger years. Something changed. Something melted his brain. Something radicalized him. His ACT score report from March 2020 confirms his academic prowess: a composite score of 34 out of 36, placing him in the 99th percentile nationwide.
He excelled in Math (34), Reading (34), English (33), and Science (32), meeting all college readiness benchmarks and showing exceptional strength in quantitative reasoning and scientific analysis. This stellar performance earned him a full-ride scholarship to Utah State University, though he only attended for one semester before pursuing an electrical apprenticeship at Dixie Technical College.

The shooting took place during a Turning Point USA event where Kirk, a prominent conservative figure, was speaking. Robinson allegedly fired a single shot from a Mauser Model 98 rifle on a rooftop, killing Kirk instantly. Four bullet casings recovered at the scene bore engravings tied to internet culture and the video game Helldivers 2, a cooperative shooter about fighting for “democracy.” One unfired casing read, “Hey fascist! Catch!” alongside a code for a “500kg bomb” from the game, while another referenced “Bella Ciao,” an antifascist partisan song.
