The ongoing saga between rapper Blueface, his former partner Chrisean Rock, and his mother, Karlissa Saffold Harvey, has taken another dramatic turn. In a recent Instagram Live session on June 14, Karlissa made bold claims about Rock’s motivations for seeking reconciliation with her incarcerated son, suggesting that Rock’s unstable living situation is the driving force behind her recent apology and desire to reunite their family.
Karlissa didn’t hold back, stating,
“She’s not about to play me,”
expressing skepticism about Rock’s intentions.
“It’s clear and obvious that she don’t have a stable place to stay, so she’s not playing me,”
As evidence, she pointed to Rock’s recent eviction from Blueface’s Los Angeles home. Karlissa added,
I haven’t seen her in a stable place yet.”
The eviction occurred in April 2025 and was initiated by Blueface, currently serving a four-year sentence for a probation violation. Blueface’s father, Johnathan Porter Sr., confirmed the rapper’s directive:
“Blueface made that call, said ‘Hey, it’s time to go.’ He ain’t playing this time; he is dead serious.”
The eviction followed Blueface’s discovery of Rock’s new relationship with college basketball player Tytan Newton, which he monitored via social media using a burner phone from prison. Video footage showed Rock’s belongings packed into trash bags, with framed photos of the former couple removed from the walls.
Chrisean Rock’s struggles with housing instability are not new. In a 2022 interview, she opened up about her experiences with homelessness in Baltimore, describing how she and Blueface moved between temporary living situations.
“After that day we left that crib, we went to somebody else’s crib, and it wasn’t our [expletive],”
She said, noting the challenges of staying with relatives.
“People don’t have unconditional love if it’s not your parents, so like if you stay with a sibling or anybody, they gonna look at you like you taking from us.”
Despite their rocky history, Chrisean Rock recently apologized to Blueface’s family and expressed her desire to reconcile for their son, Chrisean Jesus Porter.
“I’m sorry Karlissa, I’m sorry Jaidyn,”
She said in a clip, adding,
“I apologize to that whole side of people. I really care about my son, bro, and I know he’d be thriving better with his siblings too.”
Rock also hinted at her willingness to commit to Blueface fully, suggesting she would get another tattoo of him and unfollow everyone on Instagram except him if he was serious about their relationship.
Karlissa, while skeptical, acknowledged the necessity of co-parenting for their grandson’s stability.
“He’s got a baby by her, so that’s something that he’s got to deal with for the next 18 years. Graduation, high school, prom, homecoming,”
She said.
Though reluctant, Karlissa agreed to support Rock’s return for the sake of the child, stating,
“I agreed with the move for the baby… your child has to have a stable place to stay.”
Blueface, however, remains cautious. When informed ofRock’s apology, he responded,
“Yeah, me either tbh,” echoing his mother’s distrust. He further warned Karlissa, “Don’t entertain it, she tryna set you up some.”
The situation remains unresolved. Rock has ended her brief relationship with Newton and appears focused on reconciling with Blueface. However, both face significant legal hurdles—Blueface could be released as early as April 2025, while Rock faces up to eight years in prison on drug-related charges in Oklahoma.
The future of Blueface and Rock’s relationship and their ability to provide stability for their son remains uncertain as legal and personal challenges loom.
