Javorius Tykies Scott, known as JayDaYoungan, was a celebrated rapper from Louisiana who became famous in Southern hip-hop. He became famous with songs like “23 Island” and “Elimination,” and he had a huge base of fans with his melodic flow and raw storytelling. His life and promising music career were cut short when he died after being fatally shot on July 27, 2022. His father, Kenyatta Scott Sr., survived being injured in the attack.
Aside from music, JayDaYoungan’s life had been tarnished by legal troubles in the form of drug and domestic violence arrests. When he died, a series of family conflicts and controversies emerged and made his legacy a battleground for personal and financial struggles.

The legacy of JayDaYoungan’s life has been marred by controversies over his property as well. Jordan B has been upset that her son has been excluded from JayDaYoungan’s inheritance. She accused JayDaYoungan’s family of controlling his finances and leaving herself and child stranded financially.
In addition to that, JayDaYoungan’s mother, Latisha Jefferson, has been accused by Jordan B of attempting to steal money from her son when he got shot. Jefferson is reported not to have assisted or supported her grandson since she had been focused on taking over JayDaYoungan’s wealth. These are the accusations that have been causing internal strife in the rapper’s camp.
Most of JayDaYoungan’s family drama has been played out on social media. JayDaYoungan and girlfriend CaRena V have had heated arguments that have received a lot of attention. Both women have had public arguments and exchanged insults and personal jabs that have fueled more of the drama.
The online wars have done nothing more than fuel rumors and divide fans in half with half being in support of Jordan B and half condemning her for airing family business. To date in March 2025, JayDaYoungan’s murder remains unsolved. No arrest has been made in connection with the incident by the authorities so far. Even rumors have circulated that JayDaYoungan’s murder involved something with Jordan B, something that she has vehemently denied. She has been upset at being blamed for the tragedy and has stated that she has no connection with the crime.
Despite ongoing speculation, no one has been identified as a suspect by police. The fact that there has been no resolution has made JayDaYoungan’s death more enigmatic and kept the case in the public eye nearly three years on.
