XXXTENTACION Killers Labeled As Predators! Prosecution Rests

XXXTentacion was a renowned rapper who was famous for his unique type of music. He was a singer, songwriter and rapper who released many different types of music such as melodic, lyrical, mumble, pop, rock and nu metal songs.

In 2018 XXXTentacion was shot dead. He was murdered in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The prosecutor in the case labeled the murders as predatory crimes.

Michael Boatwright

When doctors found 61-year-old Michael Boatwright, he was unconscious. He had no memory of his name or where he was born in Florida. He didn’t know that he had five tennis rackets in his hotel room or why he had them.

He didn’t know that he had come from China, where he lived for six years, or why he was visiting Southern California in February. But he did have one thing that his social workers said made him feel at home in the hospital: He was a member of the Swedish-American community.

The prosecutor labeled Boatwright and Newsome as predators because they had robbed XXXTentacion at gun point. The two masked men, who were wearing face masks, confronted the rapper at Riva Motorsports in Deerfield Beach on June 18. Williams then cut off XXXTentacion’s car while Boatwright and Newsome jumped out with guns, and he was shot six times.

Dedrick Williams

Prosecutor Pascale Achille told jurors during closing arguments Tuesday that Boatwright, Williams and Newsome were predators who waited outside a motorcycle shop to rob XXXTentacion and kill him. They then fled with $50,000.

A Broward County associate medical examiner testified that rapper XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, was shot three times in the neck. All of the bullets were fired from a single 22-long rifle caliber gun, according to a firearms expert with the sheriff’s office.

During the trial, defense attorneys questioned much of the evidence brought forward by prosecutors. They said they weren’t able to find DNA that could link them to the scene and that the video that shows Boatwright, Williams and Newsome flashing money didn’t prove their guilt. They also accused Allen, who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder last year, of being a liar.

Trayvon Newsome

A Florida prosecutor referred to the three men accused of murdering XXXTentacion as predators during closing arguments Tuesday. Prosecutor Pascale Achille said the men waited outside a motorcycle shop to rob the rapper, who was visiting Riva Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, and then shot him as he left.

Boatwright, Williams and Newsome each face first-degree murder charges and could face life in prison if they’re convicted. Defense lawyers have argued that their clients are linked to the crime in different ways, but the case isn’t a straightforward one, according to reports.

The prosecution pinned the killing on a confrontation outside the motorcycle shop, where Onfroy parked his BMW with a friend. CCTV video showed two masked gunmen emerge and confront the rapper at his driver’s window. They then grabbed a Louis Vuitton bag containing cash that Onfroy had just withdrawn from a bank. And then the gunmen got back into their car and drove away.

Robert Allen

Robert Allen, one of the XXXTENTACION killers labeled as predators by the prosecutor, testified against his codefendants Wednesday (February 8). He and three other men — Michael Boatwright, Trayvon Newsome and Dedrick Williams — ambushed the rapper in suburban Fort Lauderdale on June 18, 2018.

The rapper, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy, had just left Riva Motorsports with a friend when their BMW was blocked by an SUV that swerved in front. XXXTentacion was killed in the incident.

Allen, dressed in tan Broward County jail scrubs, provided monosyllabic responses to both the prosecutor and defense lawyers. Achille asked him several times to raise his voice so the jury could hear him clearly.

In court, Allen’s attorney Mauricio Padilla sought to cast doubt on the video evidence. He also said his client’s DNA doesn’t appear on any of the evidence.
