Taylor Swift paid out $197 million in bonuses to the crew behind her Eras Tour, People reports, sharing profits from the record-breaking global run with everyone from dancers and band members to truck drivers and production staff.
The bonuses were distributed over the course of the nearly two-year tour, which launched in March 2023 and wrapped Dec. 8, 2024. According to People, the payments were made on top of regular compensation and were issued at the end of each major leg of the tour.
Among the largest individual payouts, Swift gave $100,000 bonuses to 50 truck drivers following the first North American leg in 2023, far exceeding standard touring bonuses. Dancers and performers later received six-figure sums, with amounts varying by role and region. Additional recipients included lighting and sound technicians, riggers, carpenters, choreographers, wardrobe teams, hair and makeup, security, physical therapists and video crew.
The Eras Tour spanned 149 sold-out shows across 53 cities on five continents and grossed more than $2 billion in ticket sales, according to figures confirmed to The New York Times in December 2024. The run marked the first tour in history to surpass the $2 billion threshold, with further revenue generated through merchandise sales and the theatrical release of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film.
