OnlyFans star Sophie Rain has issued an emotional tribute to Leonid “Leo” Radvinsky, the reclusive billionaire majority owner of the subscription platform, who died at age 43 after a private battle with cancer.
OnlyFans confirmed Radvinsky’s passing in a statement released on March 23: “We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Leo Radvinsky. Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer. His family have requested privacy at this difficult time.”
In an exclusive interview with the New York Post, the 21-year-old Florida-based creator — one of the platform’s most successful figures — credited Radvinsky with transforming her life from financial hardship to extraordinary wealth.
“I don’t even know how to put this into words. That man built something that changed my entire life,” Rain said. “Like, I grew up on food stamps and now I can take care of my whole family because of a platform he created. I will never forget that… Before OnlyFans I was waitressing and barely making rent. That platform gave me everything. And that doesn’t happen without someone building it in the first place.”
Rain, who joined OnlyFans in mid-2023 amid struggles including reliance on SNAP benefits and a waitressing job, has documented her meteoric rise through shared earnings screenshots. By late 2025, she reported grossing approximately $95 million over roughly two and a half years on the platform, later updating her all-time total past $101 million. She has consistently noted that such success is atypical — the average creator earns far less, often around $150 per month — and has used portions of her earnings for philanthropy, including a $121,000 donation to Feeding America.
Known for her “girl-next-door” persona and non-explicit “tease” content while maintaining her Christian faith, Rain built a massive following through strategic social media promotion on Instagram and X. She has also co-founded the creator collective Bop House.
Radvinsky, born in Odesa, Ukraine, and raised in the Chicago area, was a low-profile entrepreneur with roots in the adult industry dating back to his teenage years. A Northwestern University economics graduate, he founded MyFreeCams before acquiring a majority stake in OnlyFans’ parent company, Fenix International Limited, in 2018.
Under his leadership, the platform experienced explosive growth during the pandemic, empowering creators through its 80/20 revenue split model while generating billions in annual gross revenue. Forbes had previously estimated Radvinsky’s net worth in the billions, with reports of him receiving hundreds of millions in dividends annually.
Despite his immense influence on the creator economy, Radvinsky maintained an intensely private life. He was married with four children and supported various causes, including cancer research and Ukrainian relief efforts.
