Shaniece Tears Up Recalling Unmet Hopes with Baby Daddy ‘The Game’

Shaniece Hairston, also known as Shaniece Lozada, recently got candid about co-parenting with rapper The Game, sharing emotional reflections on their past relationship and the realities of raising their son Blaze Taylor.

In a heartfelt episode of her podcast Drop the Lo, titled “Game Changer (Part 1),” Hairston sat down with The Game and her mother, Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada, to address rumors, lingering emotions, and their ongoing co-parenting dynamic.

Hairston and The Game, born Jayceon Taylor, welcomed Blaze in October 2024, a milestone that quickly drew public scrutiny due to The Game’s past relationship with Evelyn’s close friend, Tiffney Cambridge. Over the years, allegations and speculation have circulated, ranging from claims that Hairston “stole” The Game to false stories about their personal interactions. The recent podcast episode aimed to clear the air and provide an honest look at how they navigate parenting together.

During the episode, Hairston grew emotional as she discussed her hopes for a family unit that didn’t fully materialize. “I think a lot of my anger came from you not delivering what the expectations were,” she said, recalling the challenges of co-parenting with someone she no longer romantically shares a life with. Despite the tears, she acknowledged her love for The Game as Blaze’s father and accepted the reality of their current arrangement.

The Game, 46, also reflected on his behavior, admitting he can be “bullheaded” and struggles with compromise.
“I’m also an alpha male. I’m also a Sagittarius. I’m also a very hard person to deal with sometimes because I get bullheaded. When I put my foot down, it’s kind of like, it’s my way or the highway—which is something I’m still working on,” he said. He also praised Hairston’s perspective on parenting and respect, acknowledging that he didn’t always meet her expectations in the early stages of co-parenting.

Shaniece further emphasized the lifelong nature of their connection.

“When I’m done with someone, I’m done with them. And because you share a child, you can’t necessarily be done with them… I had to learn how to wrap my mind around the fact that this is for life. Would we be sitting here today if we didn’t have Blaze?” she asked, underscoring the reality that their son changed the course of their relationship forever.

Their co-parenting journey has been under public scrutiny since Blaze’s birth, with social media users weighing in on The Game’s self-described “alpha male” tendencies and zodiac-based justifications for past behavior.

Despite the drama and public debate, both Hairston and The Game appear committed to fostering a positive environment for Blaze, with Evelyn Lozada serving as a supportive presence and mediator. Hairston’s reflections reveal a mix of acceptance, love, and resilience — a nuanced portrayal of modern co-parenting amid fame, scrutiny, and the realities of shared parenthood.

Social media reaction was swift, with many users questioning the rapper’s accountability at age 46 and mocking his explanations through viral memes. Others expressed sympathy for Hairston, praising her composure and emotional honesty while criticizing what they viewed as a familiar pattern in The Game’s personal life. The rapper is a father of multiple children with different partners, a fact frequently cited in online debates about expectations and responsibility.

The interview also revisited longstanding rumors, including exaggerated claims about Lozada and Cambridge. Both Hairston and The Game have previously denied those allegations, calling them false and harmful.

Despite the backlash and renewed attention, Hairston framed her experience as one rooted in growth rather than regret. She emphasized that Blaze’s existence gives meaning to a situation she once struggled to understand, adding that she believes their paths crossed for a reason.
