Lin Lamar, the Texas-based streamer and cosplayer known online as Pinkchyu, posted a photo and a short video this week showing herself in a low-cut silver sequin mini-dress with a high slit and fringe. Within days, viral posts on X claimed she had gained nearly 500,000 followers on the platform and that the dress was a $1.5 million gift from Drake given while the two were still together. The 500,000-figure and the $1.5 million valuation have not been independently verified by Lamar, by Drake or by representatives for either; the numbers appear only in X aggregator accounts whose posts have circulated widely since mid-September. Earlier aggregator posts put the follower-gain number closer to 300,000.
In the video, Lamar stands in a bedroom setting — a bed, shuttered windows and stuffed animals visible behind her — and slips into the metallic silver dress after starting in black lingerie and green patterned pants. She adjusts the fit, poses for the camera and turns to show the open back; on-screen text labels the outfit the “viral dress.” A companion still shows her in the same outfit with black hair and bangs, heavy dark makeup and lipstick, holding a red rose amid heart-shaped balloons.
None of the major outlets covering Lamar since August have confirmed either the $1.5 million price tag or a specific X follower gain, and neither Lamar’s Instagram nor her X feed has posted a receipt or a verified count. The “ex-girlfriend” framing in some recent posts about the dress appears to be gossip-driven; no breakup has been announced, and the two have continued to appear together in a public creative capacity. Other creators who have moved from niche followings into the celebrity-adjacent spotlight, including OnlyFans star Sophie Rain, have seen similar viral-framing moments drive follower jumps before any independent verification of the underlying claims.
The story behind the Pinkchyu-Drake connection starts on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026. That evening, Lamar appeared on Drake’s “20 Women vs. Drake” speed-dating livestream on Kick, produced by the NELK Boys and hosted by NELK co-founder Kyle Forgeard to mark the ninth anniversary of the online crypto casino Stake, according to Complex. Lamar, then 23, was among 20 contestants. When she got one-on-one time with Drake, she introduced herself as “Pink,” opened Magic: The Gathering cards with him, then steered the conversation toward role play. “I am absolutely,” Drake told her on camera, per Complex. “By the way, you can look me dead in my eyes. If you say do it, I would.” She replied, “Would you bark for me?” — and Drake barked immediately. Pinkchyu’s response, “Good boy,” spread widely after the exchange was clipped and reposted across X and TikTok. Drake caught wind of the clip going viral and issued an on-camera retraction to streamer IShowSpeed: “Darren… I retract my statement,” Drake said, according to Complex.
Lamar was one of three finalists, alongside Lena the Plug and Jordyn Lucas. When Drake offered the winner “whatever she wanted,” Lamar asked him to buy a house for her retired mother. Drake, on camera: “Oh yeah, I’d love to.” She told LadBible and TMZ he had agreed to follow through once she sent him a listing, and she later posted a video to Instagram showing her mother’s reaction. Reports later attached an approximate value to the offer, though the specific number has not been confirmed by Drake, by Lamar or by the outlets that first reported the offer.
Within two weeks, the two were together in Toronto. The “$1.5 million dress” and the “500,000 followers” claims now circulating on X sit in the same neighborhood as other viral creator-economy moments where single screenshots fuel large follower jumps and dollar-figure speculation.
