Camilla Araujo is sharing a personal conflict she says has followed her throughout her rise to online fame.
The 23-year-old creator — who has become one of OnlyFans’ top earners — recently spoke about what she describes as “prayer guilt,” explaining that her work has made it difficult for her to practice her Christian faith fully. The comments resurfaced in late November after a short clip from a podcast interview went viral across social media.
In an October episode of the Impaulsive podcast, Araujo explained that she often finds it difficult to pray or attend church because her work leaves her feeling conflicted. “It doesn’t make sense for me to sit in church and praise Jesus or tell people to talk about God if I’m just… I feel guilt,” she says. “I’m not shameful, but I do feel guilty every time someone asks me about it. Even saying, ‘Oh, God bless you,’ to a random stranger — I feel guilt.”
When the host asks why, Araujo replies, “Because I know,” later confirming that her feelings stem from the nature of her work.
Born in 2002 and raised in a conservative Brazilian Christian household, Araujo first went viral after appearing in a MrBeast video, which led her to leave East Carolina University and pursue content creation full-time. She later joined OnlyFans, where she reportedly earned up to $2.5 million per month at her peak.
Araujo has described her content as “implied” rather than explicit and has spoken openly about burnout and the pressure of maintaining her online persona. She has also said she avoids checking her earnings dashboard because fluctuations impact her mental health. In multiple interviews this year, she hinted she plans to step away from the platform in the future.
The rapid rise in her online career also caused a period of estrangement from her religious family — something she has discussed as an ongoing emotional challenge.
Araujo has said that while her Christian upbringing is still vital to her, returning fully to her faith has been difficult.
“Doing OnlyFans, I struggle with my faith every day,” she shared earlier this year. “I’m proud of who I’ve become and who I am, but the act of doing it — I’m not proud of.”
She has described her work as a barrier between her and God and has said she avoids outward expressions of faith because she doesn’t feel she can do so sincerely while on the platform. Still, she says she prays often and reflects on whether her career aligns with what she believes God wants for her.
The resurfaced clip prompted a wide range of responses across X, YouTube, and Instagram. Some users expressed support, interpreting her guilt as a sign she may be trying to reconnect with her faith. Others criticized her career or pointed out the role audiences played in her rise to fame, while many reacted with memes and commentary.

The discussion gained renewed attention after Araujo appeared in a vlog with streamer N3on, where the pair visited a church in Miami and spoke with a pastor about faith and community. In the video, Araujo becomes emotional as she discusses her desire to reconnect spiritually, sparking further conversation among viewers and Christian creators.
Araujo has not shared whether she plans to leave OnlyFans soon, but she has said she views her time on the platform as temporary. For now, she says she is continuing to navigate the tension between her beliefs and her career — and what she hopes her next steps will be.
