Compton rapper Hitta J3, a close associate of Kendrick Lamar, took to X this week with a direct shot at streamer Adin Ross. He dared Ross to show up in Compton’s “Tams” area for a photo. This move revives tensions from the Kendrick Lamar-Drake rivalry that dominated headlines last year.
Hitta J3 posted the challenge on December 18, 2025. He wrote:
“Tell @adinross come to Compton bet he won’t come to Tams & hop out for A picture… not Hollywood Beverly Hills or The Valley COMPTON.”
Tams stands for Tam’s Burgers, a spot in Compton that locals see as a symbol of the city’s real streets.
No Jumper, a popular hip-hop media outlet, shared a screenshot of the post on December 20, 2025. They captioned it as Hitta J3 “going off” and daring Ross to “pull up to the trenches.” The repost quickly racked up views and comments.

This is not the first public clash between Hitta J3 and Adin Ross. Their beef traces back to the 2024 feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Hitta J3 has collaborated with Kendrick on tracks like the title song from the 2024 album GNX. He’s also appeared on Kendrick’s To Pimp a Butterfly album cover and performed at the 2024 Pop Out concert.
Adin Ross, a 25-year-old streamer from Florida, has built a massive following on Kick with over 1.8 million followers. He’s known for gaming streams and celebrity collabs. Ross has openly backed Drake, calling Kendrick’s music “horrible” and claiming Drake “saved” Kendrick’s career by responding in the feud.
Things heated up when Toronto rapper Top5, a Drake associate, appeared on Ross’s stream after beating a murder case. Top5 made threats toward Kendrick and LA in general. Hitta J3 pushed back, mocking Ross online. He referenced a past incident where Playboi Carti allegedly took $2 million from Ross for a short stream appearance.
In September 2024, Ross threatened legal action over claims he was “banned” from LA. Hitta J3 has dismissed the drama as “just entertainment” in interviews but keeps defending Compton.
Adin Ross was in Los Angeles around December 18-19, 2025, for streams or events. That’s when Hitta J3 dropped his X post. The challenge questions Ross’s willingness to visit Compton’s tougher areas instead of safer spots like Hollywood or Beverly Hills.
On December 17, 2025, Hitta J3 posted (and later deleted) an Instagram story warning Ross: “the city never forgets.” This came after Ross reportedly didn’t “check in” with local figures during his LA visit.

Replies to both posts mostly dismissed Hitta J3. Users called him “irrelevant” or “corny.” One comment said: “Street niggas so corny.” Others mocked the challenge, asking why Ross would even go to Compton.
Some blocked Hitta J3 or questioned his clout compared to Ross’s mainstream fame. Hitta J3 has about 25,000 followers on X, while Ross boasts millions across platforms.
A related 2024 video of Top5’s threats gained 1,189 likes, 65 reposts, 284 quotes, 247 replies, 722 bookmarks, and 776,396 views. But this latest exchange stays online, with no reports of real-world action.
Adin Ross hasn’t responded publicly to the specific challenge. Their history includes some de-escalation talks through mutual contacts, but affiliations keep the spark alive.
Hitta J3, real name Dominicke Williams, was born in 1992 in Compton. He broke out with the 2014 remix of “Do Yo Gudda” featuring Kendrick, YG, and Problem. His albums include The Collect Call (2016) and Case Closed (2018). He’s affiliated with Westside Piru and often talks about his street upbringing in interviews.
In a No Jumper interview, Hitta J3 discussed being labeled “Kendrick Lamar’s goon” and addressed gang ties. He denied “goon” labels and focused on his music and Compton roots.
