Kanye West’s LA Home Down Bad After Net Worth Drops

Kanye West is currently having a hard time trying to sell his home in Los Angeles. It has been listed for sale since 2007 at $18.5 million, but he was never able to offload it. Ye is down bad.
As reported by Forbes, his total wealth amounts to $400 million, derived from various sources including real estate, cash, his successful music career, and a valuable 5% ownership stake in Kim Kardashian’s renowned shapewear brand, Skims.

The property’s fences collapsed

In the wake of Kanye West’s antisemitic outbursts and tweets, a growing number of companies and individuals are severing business deals with him. As a result, the rapper’s net worth has dropped by a considerable amount, according to Forbes.

The musician’s Yeezy shoe and clothing line has also suffered from the public fallout. He’s lost deals with Adidas, Balenciaga and Gap as a result of his inflammatory comments, the magazine said.

After losing these contracts, the rapper’s net worth has dipped to about $400 million. This figure includes cash, real estate and the value of his music catalog, per Forbes.

However, West still owns a wealth of assets, including a collection of supercars and a home in the LA suburb of Hidden Hills. In addition, he has a share in former wife Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand Skims.

He’s also a big fan of cannabis, owning a booming marijuana business called Cookies that sells 2,000 products in 48 stores across seven countries and 20 U.S. states, reports Greenburg.

Aside from his hefty real estate portfolio, West also has a 5% stake in Skims and a music catalog that makes up a good chunk of his net worth. He’s a savvy spender who splashes the cash on luxury vehicles and fashion.

For instance, he owns a Lamborghini Urus and Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss. He’s also been known to spend on bespoke pieces, including a diamond-encrusted timepiece from Tiret, according to Time.

His other properties include a Wyoming ranch, a Chicago home and a $23 million mansion in the Hidden Hills area of Los Angeles. He and Kardashian bought the property together in 2014.

It’s unclear how much the home is worth now that he’s no longer a billionaire, but it does have its benefits. For one, it has an expansive view of the city, and is close to several popular parks.

In addition, the home’s location is close to a major highway and several restaurants. It’s also a great place for kids to play and hang out, since it’s located near the neighborhood’s schools.

The property’s interior is ruined

Amid the backlash against anti-Semitic remarks he made earlier this month, rapper Kanye West is facing the loss of a huge chunk of his net worth. The former “Ye” has lost millions of dollars after major brands dropped him following the comments, including Adidas, GAP and Balenciaga.

Despite his alleged financial troubles, West is still adamant about his dream of owning a home in the Hollywood Hills. The $3.7 million house is a modernist compound that boasts “unobstructed jetliner views” and was once owned by West and Kim Kardashian before they split up in 2017.

According to the listing, the boxy, 4,200-square-foot property was initially purchased in 2003 by the rapper, who changed his name to Ye in 2014. He spent some time living at the home with wife Kim in the early years of their relationship, though they eventually moved out together.

While it’s unclear why the rapper decided to sell the house, new pictures of it show signs of wear and tear. It looks like the home has been sitting vacant since their divorce was finalized last November.

This doesn’t bode well for the future of the property, which is listed for $11 million. It has miles of beautiful hillside views, a fenced-in backyard for entertaining and plenty of space to relax with friends or stargaze in the evenings.

The home also has a Brutalist exterior and minimalist interior design, which seems to be a signature of West’s style. It also comes with a small pool that has a grotto-like waterfall and a sand volleyball court.

After his divorce from Kim Kardashian, West used the house as a base for Sunday Service and Donda Academy. It’s possible he plans to move back in once he and Kim are officially single again, but the home could still be a struggle for him to sell.

Whether or not he can sell his LA home, West still has an extensive real estate portfolio. He owns a number of homes in Europe, California, and Wyoming. He’s also a fashion designer and owns a 5% stake in ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand, Skims. The musician is reportedly worth around $400 million, according to Forbes.

The property’s exterior is ruined

A drone has spied Kanye West’s LA home looking a lot worse than ever before. The rapper’s anti-Semitic comments made his net worth nosedive, which forced him to halt renovations on the $57 million Malibu property.

But the rapper is still rumored to have a large collection of expensive assets, including tanks, supercars and sparkling jewels. He also owns a Malibu beachhouse and a pair of Wyoming ranches.

In addition to his massive collection of assets, West has a storied history of buying properties with spectacular views and unique architecture. For example, he once bought an authentic Western ranch in Wyoming for $15 million.

The property features two freshwater lakes, adult and child go-cart tracks, hay meadows and uninhibited mountain views in every direction. Additionally, it has a huge metal workshop or barn, corral and plenty of space for a pool or vineyard.

However, after Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s divorce, West opted to sell the property. His ex-wife stayed in the house while West moved across the street and purchased a property directly opposite.

After the couple split, Kanye purchased a $6.2 million home in the Hidden Hills gated community in Los Angeles. The move was supposedly to be closer to his children.

According to the New York Post, the house was a good purchase for West and his children because it allows him easy access to them when he’s in town. It was purchased in an off-market deal and isn’t occupied by him yet, but he’s expected to make extensive renovations soon.

The Yeezy designer also owns a home in Belgium and the house that raised him in Chicago. He also owns a number of other ranches, including Monster Lake Ranch in Wyoming.

When he’s not on tour or making music, West is known for spending time with his family and donating Thanksgiving meals to the Los Angeles Mission. He’s also reportedly dating designer Bianca Censori.

West previously owned a small ranch in Calabasas, which was used for hangouts with friends and meetings about his charities, Sunday Service and Donda Academy. It has a four-car garage, a huge metal workshop or barn and a corral.
