Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat has officially launched applications for the 2026 edition of Streamer University, the immersive creator event that became a major phenomenon in its inaugural year.
Applications opened on June 8 via the official site, streameruniversity.com, for the Class of 2026. Following the breakout success of the 2025 program at the University of Akron — which attracted over 1 million applications and generated more than 26 million Twitch viewing hours — expectations are high for the returning experience.
Described as a high-energy, weekend-long “college campus” takeover rather than a traditional academic program, Streamer University brings selected creators together to live in dorms, attend entertaining “classes” led by prominent personalities, collaborate on content, and embrace a chaotic dorm-life atmosphere complete with cafeteria meals and campus activities. The 2025 edition featured viral moments, including classes like “Defense Against Hating,” and drew significant attention across the streaming and entertainment worlds.
For 2026, Cenat and his team are building on that momentum with a cinematic promotional trailer. Select alumni from the previous year are expected to return, and early interest from creators such as Stable Ronaldo and QTCinderella — who have publicly pitched potential classes — signals strong lineup potential.
The program welcomes both aspiring small creators and established streamers from any platform, with an emphasis on personality, creativity, and potential rather than strict follower thresholds. Applications are also open for “professors” interested in teaching classes and “club directors” to help organize activities.
Selected participants receive an all-inclusive experience covered by Cenat, including housing, travel, and meals. Spots remain limited — roughly 150 students participated in 2025 — making the selection process highly competitive. Kai and his team review submissions, with Cenat occasionally sharing the process during his streams.
How to Apply
Interested creators can apply directly at streameruniversity.com. The process typically involves a detailed form covering personal information, streaming background, channel links, highlight reels, and a series of quirky, personality-driven questions about topics like roommate preferences and hypothetical raid scenarios.
Organizers recommend submitting early due to expected high traffic. Past applicants noted that authenticity, humor, and strong content clips help submissions stand out.
Exact dates and location for the 2026 event have not yet been announced, but it is expected to follow a similar multi-day format to last year’s May 22–25 run. Updates on selection timelines and further details will be shared via Cenat’s social channels (@KaiCenat) and the official Streamer University accounts.
While some online commentary has questioned the program’s structure amid its rapid growth, participants from the 2025 edition largely highlighted the networking, exposure, and content opportunities it provided. The event has positioned itself as a notable platform for creators seeking visibility through raids, collaborations, and viral moments in the evolving streaming landscape.
Applications are open now. For more information, visit streameruniversity.com.
