Ice Spice Slapped by Fan Inside L.A. McDonald’s: Video Breakdown

Ice Spice was involved in a physical altercation at a McDonald’s location on Vine Street in Hollywood early on the morning of April 15, after a woman approached her uninvited while she was eating with a friend.

Surveillance footage obtained by TMZ shows the Bronx artist, whose real name is Isis Gaston, seated in a booth when the woman, later identified as Vayah, jogged up to the table and attempted to squeeze in by asking Ice Spice’s companion to slide over. According to accounts from both sides, the interaction quickly soured. Ice Spice and her friend told the woman to leave, with the rapper reportedly saying, “Why are you over here? You can leave, bye.”

Words were exchanged, and Vayah asked where Ice Spice was from. The woman later told TMZ she had approached as a fan intending to show support and compliment the artist but felt disrespected when Ice Spice allegedly called her a “bitch” and dismissed her. Vayah then slapped Ice Spice in the face, prompting a brief scuffle inside the restaurant. During the chaos, Ice Spice’s team claims she picked up and smashed a phone belonging to Vayah’s friend. A man believed to be with Vayah intervened and escorted the woman out.

The confrontation spilled outside, where cellphone video captured both women continuing to fight in the street in front of the restaurant. They ended up on the ground at one point, and the man with Vayah became involved as onlookers yelled for them to stop.

Ice Spice’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, described the incident as an “unprovoked attack” in a statement. He said the matter has been reported to the Los Angeles Police Department, and that his client plans to pursue criminal charges against Vayah and any others involved. Cohen added that the team is also considering a civil lawsuit against Vayah as well as the McDonald’s location itself for what he called a lack of appropriate security that allowed the situation to escalate inside the restaurant. He further noted that the other group appeared to begin recording after the fact “as if to set our client up” for viral attention.

Vayah maintained to TMZ that she was simply trying to show love as a fan but was met with rudeness. She admitted to slapping Ice Spice after the alleged name-calling and claimed she later heard the rapper shouting outside, “Where that bitch at? I wanna fight her.” She also accused Ice Spice of breaking her friend’s phone.

As of April 18, no arrests have been publicly reported, and the LAPD has not issued updates on any charges. Videos of the altercation, including the surveillance footage and street footage, have circulated widely on TMZ, Instagram, X and other platforms.

Ice Spice, who broke through with her 2022 viral hit “Munch (Feelin’ U)” and has since earned Grammy nominations and major collaborations, was reportedly stopping for a routine morning meal when the incident occurred.
