According to a recent report from Adobe Digital Insights (ADI), digital sales this past Thanksgiving have reached a record high of $3.7 billion USD.
Based on analytics, this Thanksgiving marks a 28% increase from online sales this same time last year. And here’s the kicker – this is all a result of phone purchasing!
The following Friday or “Black Friday” saw $6.22 billion USD in online sales. According to Taylor Schreiner of Adobe Digital Insights:
Mobile stole the show Thanksgiving Day with smartphones representing more than 50% of traffic to retail sites, as well as record amount of revenue.
So thank you, online shoppers, for keeping the economy booming! But a word to the wise, don’t spend all your hard earned cash because you can.
