Cardi B has treated herself to a rare pink Rolex Cosmograph Daytona known as the “Barbie” as a birthday gift, according to a video circulating widely on social media.
In the clip, a luxury dealer presents the watch to the rapper, describing it as an official off-catalog Rolex Daytona Barbie. The dealer says only about 10 exist worldwide and that this was the only one available for sale after a global search. Cardi B tries on the pink-sapphire-set gold timepiece, remarks that it is all factory with no aftermarket modifications, and says, “Oh my god, I deserve. I work so hard.”
Posts from accounts including Daily Loud and Complex Style report the watch as valued at $3 million or over $2 million. The same reports note accompanying gifts of a bubblegum pink Hermès Mini Kelly II Sellier in matte alligator and a custom ring with 7 carats of natural diamonds. Independent valuations of similar “Barbie” Daytonas previously seen on Drake, Lionel Messi and others have ranged from roughly $400,000 at retail estimates to between $1 million and $1.5 million on the secondary market.
Cardi B, whose full name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, turned 34 on October 11. The Bronx-born Grammy-winning rapper celebrated the occasion with family in the Dominican Republic earlier this month before the watch presentation video surfaced around October 22–23.
The dealer in the video identifies himself as a trusted contact who sourced the piece after Cardi B “drove him crazy” with requests. No official statement from Rolex or from Cardi B’s representatives confirming the exact purchase price has been issued. The claims of a $3 million outlay originate from social media accounts amplifying the unboxing footage rather than from court records, company disclosures or major news organizations.
Off-catalog Rolex Daytonas of this type feature 18-carat yellow gold cases, pink sapphire bezels and matching dial details with a pink strap. They are not listed in Rolex’s public catalog and are allocated only to select clients. Previous owners of comparable examples include athletes and entertainers who have displayed the watches publicly in recent years.
Cardi B has long collected high-end timepieces and has spoken openly about rewarding herself for her work. In the video she repeatedly thanks the dealer and emphasizes that she earned the purchase through hard work.
