Kourtney Kardashian has finally addressed Jennifer Lawrence’s less-than-flattering comments about her — and she didn’t exactly take the high road at first.
In the Season 8 premiere of The Kardashians, which dropped Thursday on Hulu, Kourtney opened up about the Oscar winner’s remarks while chatting with longtime friend Simon Huck. The conversation started after her mom, Kris Jenner, texted the family about hanging out with Lawrence and Emma Stone.
“Well, my mom wrote something, like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone, I talked to them last night, they’re the best,’ and I go, ‘F**k that bitch Jennifer Lawrence,’” Kourtney recalled.
The dig she’s referring to dates back to November 2025, when Lawrence sat for one of Vanity Fair’s lie detector tests while promoting Die My Love. A self-proclaimed Kardashian superfan, Lawrence quickly named Khloé her favorite sister. But when it came to Kourtney, she was a lot more direct.
“Kourtney is more annoying than ever. She drives me nuts,” Lawrence said at the time. “Because everything has to be an announcement. It’s like, ‘I’m not going to wear outfits anymore.’ Just wear whatever you want… Or like, ‘I don’t have a TV in my room.’ Just don’t watch TV. Stop announcing it. Just shhh!”
According to Kourtney, Lawrence later reached out privately to smooth things over. She asked Kim Kardashian for Kourtney’s email and sent a note in which she wrote that she felt “like I’m one of your sisters.”
That line only fueled Kourtney’s initial reaction.
“I said to my mom, ‘Okay, [Lawrence] thinks she’s one of my sisters? I’ll f**king slap the sh*t out of her,’” she told Huck. “I was like, ‘Invite her over and we can… I’ll go for it like she’s my sister.’”
She even floated a cheeky response referencing her infamous physical fight with Kim from Keeping Up with the Kardashians. “I’ll just say, ‘Next time you wanna come over, we can go at it — Kourtney and Kim style.’”
Still, Kourtney admitted her perspective shifted after she rewatched the original clip. “Oh, it’s not that bad actually,” she said. She also noted that the comments landed during “a really sensitive week” when she felt the show was airing and “everybody was ganging up on me.”
Kourtney called Lawrence’s email “so nice,” though she hadn’t replied yet at the time of filming. She was still weighing whether to keep the response light or go a different route.
Lawrence herself has since reflected on the moment. During an appearance on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast earlier this year, she acknowledged that some of her press quotes can come off stronger than intended, joking that she might need to cut back on interviews.
For now, the whole thing seems to have settled into classic Kardashian territory — a mix of real frustration, private apologies, and just enough humor to keep it from turning into a full-blown feud.
