One of streaming’s biggest stars has left fans stunned and divided with a bold experiment that may redefine what it means to be a live streamer.
Kick.com’s N3on — the 22-year-old internet personality famous for his high-energy IRL videos, gaming sessions and all-night streams — took to social media on Sept. 7 and dropped a bombshell announcement. He posted a short video of himself and declared that the next chapter in his career would be an AI-powered version of himself that would keep the channel live 24/7.
“This is my last stream as a human being,” he wrote in the dramatic post. “I’ll explain when it’s over. First AI streamer in the world and it’s me. This stream will never end. Going to bed now. Don’t make me do anything that can jail me. Powered by GPT-6 Astra and @higgsfield.ai.”
Just like that, the stream went live — and N3on logged off for the night.
The AI Setup: More Than Just a Pretty Face
The technology behind the experiment was straightforward but impressive. N3on used two AI tools — Higgsfield.ai for generating video and GPT-6 Astra, a newer model known for 3D animation and procedural work — to create short, pre-made clips of himself. These included everyday moments: riding the subway, running marathons, shooting hoops on a court, dancing in his apartment and other relatable IRL footage.
The AI version simply looped these clips on a continuous slide-show, giving viewers something to watch even when N3on was sleeping or busy with other things. Chatters could sometimes type in the live comments, but the responses were pre-scripted — it wasn’t a real-time AI VTuber that actually talked back. It was more like an ever-present highlight reel of the streamer himself.
In his announcement, N3on laid out his reasoning clearly: “If I’m not streaming, you guys have something to watch… it’s innovative.”
Fans React With Shock — and Accusations of a Sellout
The reaction in the chat was instant and fierce. Viewers rushed in calling the move a sellout and accusing N3on of turning his massive audience of more than 1 million subscribers into an endless AI content machine. Some even went as far as saying the AI version looked “better than the real one,” while others joked about infinite livestreams.

N3on’s claim of being the “first AI streamer” has already been challenged by the community. Back in 2022, real-time AI VTuber Neuro-sama was chatting live with viewers on Twitch. YouTuber Kwebbelkop faced similar pushback in 2023 for using AI clips in his videos.
Still, N3on’s full 24/7 video avatar on a major platform is being called a new milestone — one that tests the limits of authenticity in an era when AI-generated content is everywhere.
The AI stream reportedly ran for several hours before N3on ended it or woke up. He has since posted updates confirming he will continue the experiment whenever he’s away and that he’s doubling down on both AI and IRL content.
