A bright, energetic voice in Florida’s TikTok scene has been tragically silenced.
DreamDoll Bri known online as ItGirlBri or simply Brii was just 21 years old. She was loved for her high-energy dance videos and that viral sound “Bend Ova.” Early Sunday morning, July 5, 2026, she was fatally shot in what Miramar police are calling a targeted drive-by shooting.
The shooting occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. while she was returning from a party on a July 4th weekend at an Airbnb home located in the Miramar district of Broward County. While Bri was traveling in a green Lamborghini SUV with two other men, they got attacked by a white BMW that came out of nowhere and started shooting at them.
The SUV was driving without stopping at a stop sign and then it hit a house on the 2700 block of Sunshine Boulevard. A ShotSpotter detection system made the police aware of what had happened, and Bri was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood where she was pronounced dead due to the gunshots.
Police believe the vehicle Bri was in was specifically targeted. Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss described the scene as “chaotic” and “disturbing,” but emphasized that the broader neighborhood isn’t in danger. As of now, no arrests have been made. Officers are still looking for that white BMW and talking to witnesses. No motive has been made public.
Brii had built a big following over 365,000 on TikTok with her lively personality, fashion content, and dance challenges. She had around 80,000 followers on Instagram too, where she posted her bold outfits, jewelry, and fun moments. Her “Bend Ova” sound was used by creators all over the app.
Since the news broke, tribute videos have flooded TikTok, Instagram, X, and Facebook. One widely shared clip shows her at the party the night before dancing, smiling, with friends throwing cash, looking like the life of the gathering. The comments are heartbreaking:
“Rest peacefully Bri,” “Nooo you were just here,” “My dream doll, this can’t be real.”
This is such a gut-wrenching loss. It’s another reminder of the gun violence that keeps hitting South Florida and how risky it can be for young influencers whose public profiles mix with late-night scenes. It also shows how fast rumors spread online before the real facts come out.
The investigation is still ongoing. We’ll likely hear more as police release updates, bodycam footage, or when family members speak.
My thoughts are with Bri’s family, her friends, and everyone who loved watching her light up the timeline. Gone way too soon.
