18-Year-Old Chicago TikToker Arrested for Allegedly Murdering Friend Over Car Theft Device

An 18-year-old TikToker known for flaunting luxury cars and cash stacks on social media has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old acquaintance during an alleged robbery over a device used to steal vehicles.

Dauveyae White, who posted under the name “Vino,” faces charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery in the Nov. 15, 2025, death of Xavier Colletti, according to prosecutors. White and a 17-year-old co-defendant, Melvin Thomas, allegedly lured Colletti to a Wicker Park alley via Instagram messages under false pretenses before the fatal confrontation.

Authorities say the dispute centered on a ProPad (or “pro pad”), a locksmith tool that can be used to reprogram vehicle key fobs — a method tied to a surge in youth-involved car thefts in the Chicago area. Surveillance footage reportedly captured the incident, including White firing a rifle at Colletti as he attempted to flee in his Jeep. One voice on the video is allegedly heard saying something to the effect of “I got the pad” after the shooting.

White had built an online following by regularly showcasing high-end vehicles, including SRT Hellcats, along with large amounts of cash. The case has drawn significant attention online, with many noting the apparent irony of the circumstances.

Police linked the suspects through Instagram messages, phone location data, shared prior arrests involving stolen cars, and other evidence, including distinctive clothing visible in footage. Both White and Thomas have been charged in the case, which remains ongoing.

Details could continue to emerge as the legal proceedings advance.
