Top 5 Accuses Andre Drummond of Cheating with Ex While Incarcerated

Toronto drill rapper Top5 ignited a viral moment during a recent Toronto Raptors–Philadelphia 76ers game after confronting NBA center Andre Drummond from his courtside seat, publicly accusing the veteran player of having an affair with his ex-girlfriend while Top5 was incarcerated.

The brief but heated exchange, captured in a roughly 12-second video, quickly spread across social media. The clip shows Top5, real name Hassan Ali, pointing toward the court and shouting insults at Drummond, repeatedly calling him a “bum” as the game continued uninterrupted.

In the footage, Top5 gestures emphatically while directing his comments toward Drummond, who was playing for the 76ers and wearing jersey No. 1. Top5 accuses the center of being involved with his ex-girlfriend during the period when the rapper was in custody.

Drummond does not visibly respond in the clip and appears focused on the game. There was no indication of security intervention, and the confrontation remained verbal, blending into the usual background noise of an NBA arena.

The video was first shared on Top5’s Instagram story before being amplified by multiple media and fan accounts across X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, drawing hundreds of thousands of views within hours.

Top5 is a well-known and controversial figure in Toronto’s drill rap scene, recognized for his confrontational persona and raw street-oriented music. He rose to prominence in the mid-2010s with tracks such as Movie and collaborations within the city’s underground hip-hop community.

His career, however, has been repeatedly interrupted by legal issues. In 2021, Top5 was arrested on firearms-related charges and initially faced a first-degree murder charge that was later stayed. He spent a significant amount of time in custody before being released on bail in 2023 and has since remained highly active on social media, frequently inserting himself into public disputes involving both music and sports figures. He has previously heckled NBA players courtside, including a separate incident involving Russell Westbrook in 2024.

Andre Drummond, 32, is a two-time NBA All-Star and one of the league’s most accomplished rebounders of the past decade. Drafted by the Detroit Pistons in 2012, he has also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Chicago Bulls before joining the Philadelphia 76ers, where he currently provides veteran depth off the bench.

There has been no publicly known prior connection between Drummond and Top5, and the rapper’s claims remain unverified. As of now, Drummond has not issued a public response, nor has the 76ers organization commented on the incident.

Reaction online has been sharply divided. Some users treated the confrontation as entertainment, joking about the unexpected crossover between Toronto’s rap scene and the NBA. Others criticized Top5, suggesting the public outburst reflected poorly on him and urging him to focus on releasing new music rather than airing personal grievances courtside.
