Future’s Brother FBG Casino Secures Unexpected Special Release Amidst Atlanta Federal Case

Atlanta rapper FBG Casino real name Rico Deville Buice got wrapped up in a major federal bust last month that had everyone talking. The 41-year-old, who’s tight with the Freebandz crew and happens to be the older brother of Grammy-winner Future, was nabbed in a raid uncovering what looks like a serious fentanyl setup. He posted bond pretty quick, but it’s kicked off all sorts of speculation about drugs, loyalty in the rap world, and wild rumors flying around online.

It went down on November 14, 2025, when a team from FBI Atlanta, DEA Atlanta, and Clayton County cops hit a short-term rental in Forest Park, Georgia, with a search warrant. Buice tried bolting out a side door but didn’t get far before they grabbed him. His co-defendant, 23-year-old David Estevan Montillo Diaz from Coachella, California, just turned himself in without a fuss.

Cops said the place was geared up for big-time drug deals.

“We’re shutting down these lethal ops… this is a solid blow to the folks flooding poison into our neighborhoods,”

FBI Atlanta’s Special Agent in Charge Paul Brown said in a press release. It was all part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide push against fentanyl rings tied to international cartels.

They hauled in 21 kilos of fentanyl, some of it marked with a Louis Vuitton stamp traffickers’ way of branding their stuff like it’s high-end fashion. That’s enough for over 10 million deadly doses, worth more than $2 million on the street. Plus, there was $380,000 in cash $300,000 bundled up with rubber bands and $80,000 stashed in a Goyard bag that matched pics Buice had posted on social media, along with another $4,000 in his pockets. They also found a loaded Glock 19, a cash-counting machine, and one of those food sealer gadgets.

This kind of bust underscores how Atlanta’s become a major hub in the opioid mess gripping the country. The DEA grabbed over 30,000 pounds of fentanyl nationwide in 2024.

“We kept a ton of killer fentanyl off the streets,”

The case docs say. It’s part of the bigger picture CDC figures show around 107,000 overdose deaths that year.

Buice and Diaz are hit with federal charges for conspiracy to possess and distribute fentanyl not RICO like some folks initially buzzed about. RICO’s for ongoing crime syndicates, but this is straight-up trafficking, which could mean at least 10 years behind bars, up to life.

They showed up in U.S. District Court for Northern Georgia on November 19, 2025, where prosecutors pushed to keep them locked up, calling them flight risks. They flagged Buice’s supposed $2,166 a month as a “studio manager” against his $4 million crib and fancy rides like a Mercedes and BMW. Still, he walked on December 4, 2025, after posting $650,000 bond with conditions like ankle monitoring and no traveling far.

That fast release lit up social media on X and Instagram. People were throwing around “omertà” that old-school code of silence and wondering if someone’s talking to the feds. One post said,

“Future’s bro FBG Casino bonds out after 21 keys, now the web’s labeling him a snitch.”

Spots like No Jumper ran with it, racking up views and sparking arguments about staying solid under fed heat.

It’s reminiscent of the drama in rap beefs and busts, like what happened with Young Thug, where snitching rumors can wreck reputations.

This one’s a standout in Operation Take Back America, aimed at smashing cartel pipelines pumping fentanyl from Mexico and China into the States. It shines a light on Atlanta’s hip-hop scene, where stardom and street life collide in risky ways.

While the case unfolds, it’s a stark wake-up call on fentanyl’s grip wrecking families and communities left and right. From a reporting angle, it shows how feds are ramping up in places like Atlanta, with a 45% spike in fentanyl cases in Northern Georgia year-over-year, per DOJ stats.
