The woman who lives in the famous Breaking Bad house in Albuquerque is speaking out after YouTuber IShowSpeed showed up at her property with a massive crowd during a livestream — and she’s not holding back.
Joanne Quintana, who owns the house once used as Walter White’s residence in the hit AMC drama, says the 20-year-old streamer crossed the line when he arrived at her home in late September with hundreds of fans.
Although Speed reportedly had prior permission to stop by, Quintana says she immediately withdrew it once she saw the size of the entourage. In footage from the visit, Speed can be seen trying to talk to her from outside the gated property while the crowd’s noise drowned out their conversation.
Quintana later expressed just how shaken she was by the incident. “I swear to God I’m gonna sue his ass because he scared the living f— out of a 64-year-old. I could have stroked out out there in the house,” she said. “I live here by myself. Speed showed up to disrespect me, barge through my house like it was his f—ing house, and I’m sitting there shaking like s—. He ruined my barriers, his fans bent my mailbox. Look at this s— — he’s gonna pay for this.”
She also compared Speed’s visit to that of other YouTubers. “Danny Duncan didn’t come with 1,500 f—ing people. He came with respect. But Speed thinks he can just lift up barriers like he can do whatever the f— he wants. Twenty-year-old punk — why are you not scared?”
Following the clash, Quintana even joined fellow streamer Kanel Joseph’s broadcast, where she doubled down on her frustration and said she plans to sue IShowSpeed over the disruption.
Quintana and her family have dealt with years of unwanted attention since Breaking Bad first aired. Fans frequently throw pizzas on the roof to recreate an infamous scene, trespass onto the property, and sometimes even deliver packages addressed to Walter White. The family said as many as 300 cars per day would drive by at its peak.
In January 2025, the house was put up for sale with a $4 million asking price. “We’re done. There’s no reason to fight anymore,” Quintana said at the time.
The incident sparked debate across social media, with many siding with Quintana. “Don’t blame her, that would be annoying,” one commenter wrote, while others criticized Speed for not arranging the visit more professionally.
The controversy also reignited frustration that the family has never received any residuals from the show’s success, only a one-time filming fee.
As for Quintana, she’s clear on how she feels about Speed’s visit: “He scared the living f— out of me… and he’s gonna pay for this.”
