Tom Cruise, 63, Sparks Dating Rumors After First Public Outing With Ana de Armas, 37

Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas put an end to months of speculation when they showed public affection for the first time, a remarkable break in their otherwise low-profile relationship.

The weekend of July 26-27, 2025, the 63-year-old Cruise and the 37-year-old de Armas shopped, strolled through Woodstock, Vermont, in search of ice cream, and even held hands. Pictures appeared on the internet and became viral, including major news outlets like People, TMZ, and E! News

The outing follows the pair attending an Oasis concert in London’s Wembley Stadium the previous day. The Vermont-resident De Armas, whom reports say owns a home in the state, relaxed in the company of Cruise as they mingled with the residents of the small New England town.

Their collaboration began on Valentine’s weekend, February 13–14, 2025, when they made their first appearance together in a dinner meeting in Soho, London. They, according to sources, then became “strictly professional,” alluding to their supernatural thriller roles in Deeper, produced and-directed, respectively, by Christopher McQuarrie and Doug Liman.

Through the spring, sightings of the duo multiplied: helicopter arrivals at London Heliport, a yacht vacation in Menorca, Spain, and high-profile appearances like David Beckham’s 50th birthday party. Ana’s 37th birthday in late April saw Cruise arriving by helicopter, further fueling intrigue.

Until the Vermont sighting, both actors had maintained they were “just friends.” In May, de Armas told People,

“It’s so much fun working with Tom on not just one but a few projects,”

while Cruise publicly called her

“a very, very talented actress who learns quickly”

after seeing her acclaimed performance in Ballerina.

The Vermont appearance has sparked debates over the pair’s 26-year age gap and potential differences in beliefs. Cruise is a well-known Scientologist, while de Armas was raised Catholic reportedly a concern among some of her friends.

De Armas also received social media criticism in July after liking a tweet that ridiculed Cruise’s former spouse, Nicole Kidman. Some critics alleged she showed poor sensitivity, but others justified her move as being harmless.

Both de Armas and Cruise have not, in their interviews, gone public with their relationship status. Cruise, famously quiet regarding his personal life since the 2012 split with Katie Holmes, hasn’t addressed the Vermont photos.

Sources close to the pair suggest the relationship developed naturally out of their professional collaboration.

“This is the opportunity of a lifetime,”

de Armas has said of working with Cruise, while insiders describe their dynamic as warm and supportive.

The couple is expected to begin filming Deeper in August. The Vermont outing, their first public display of affection, may indicate a turning point in how they choose to navigate their relationship under the spotlight.

The world will be watching closely. And while the romance remains officially unconfirmed, the Vermont hand-holding has already become one of Hollywood’s defining moments of the summer.
