Fans Alarmed After Britney Spears Posts Wild Dancing Video While Smoking

Britney Spears is once again making headlines—and this time, fans are growing increasingly concerned about the pop icon’s well-being.

In May, the 43-year-old singer sparked fresh worry when she was caught smoking on a private flight from Cabo San Lucas to Los Angeles. According to multiple sources, Spears lit a cigarette mid-flight, prompting flight attendants to ask her to put it out. Upon landing at LAX, authorities reportedly met her and issued a warning.

Shortly after, Spears took to Instagram with one of her now-signature dance videos—but this one left fans especially uneasy. Set to Timbaland’s “Carry Out,” Spears twirled and flailed in a plunging pink sequin dress, referencing the flight incident in the caption. Her intense, erratic movements and emotional tone left viewers voicing deep concern in the comments.

“I’m so worried for her,” one fan wrote. “This doesn’t feel okay.”

Then, on July 13, Spears shocked followers with an unexpected announcement: she had adopted a baby girl named “Lennon London Spears.”

“I adopted a beautiful baby girl !!!” she wrote alongside another dance video. “Her name is Lennon London Spears,” adding emojis that included hearts and winking faces.

However, the excitement was short-lived. Outlets, including TMZ, quickly confirmed that the claim was not valid. A source told the outlet that Spears was “just messing with people,” and pointed out that a baby carrier seen in past videos was for dolls, not a real child.

The odd post added to a growing list of social media moments that fans say suggest the star may be struggling behind the scenes.

Spears’ online presence throughout 2025 has raised eyebrows. In mid-June, she deleted her Instagram account after posting a profanity-filled rant about two former partners, writing,

“I dated two f****** complete a**holes… I realized I loved their dogs more than them.”

She posted another video in May claiming she hadn’t left her house in four months.

“Don’t worry girls this is my summer, haven’t been out of my house in four months.”

She wrote.

In April, she appeared in a clip with smeared black eyeliner and tousled hair, dancing in a way fans described as unsettling.

“There’s so much pain in her eyes,” one user commented. This feels like a cry for help.”

The ongoing posts—often a mix of playful dancing and cryptic captions—have reignited public discussion about Spears’ mental health. Many fans say the posts remind them of the darker periods of her life, particularly her public breakdown in 2007.

“I don’t understand how the world just continues to watch one of the most famous people in the world, Britney Spears, deteriorate like this and no one can help her,” one concerned user wrote.

Others pointed to Spears’ history of trauma and the emotional toll of her 13-year conservatorship, which ended in 2021.

“Trauma is tormenting her more than anything else,” one fan shared.

As of mid-July, Spears continues to post off and on, often deactivating and reactivating her Instagram account without explanation. Sources say she’s recently reconnected with her youngest son, Jayden, which many fans see as a hopeful sign.

Still, the pattern of confusing and erratic behavior has left fans and observers worried about her stability.

“She’s free now, but is she okay?” one fan asked—a question echoing across social media.
