On Monday (March 20), a jury found three men guilty of murdering rapper XXXTentacion outside a motorsports shop in Florida. Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams and Trayvon Newsome were convicted of first-degree murder.
They all wore masks when they killed the 20-year-old, who was pronounced “Ex ex ex ten-ta-see-YAWN.” The rapper tackled issues of prejudice and depression in his songs. He also drew criticism over bad behavior and multiple arrests.
Jenesis Sanchez Celebrates Verdict
Jenesis Sanchez, XXXTentacion’s baby mama, is celebrating after the rapper’s accused killers were found guilty in his murder trial. She took to social media with her thoughts on Monday (March 20) following the verdict, and shared a heartfelt message to X’s fans.
The rap star, real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was gunned down in Florida in June after being involved in an armed robbery. Four men were arrested and charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery.
During her pregnancy, Sanchez went to court in hopes of proving that her son Gekyume Onfroy was indeed XXXTentacion’s child. In a recent petition, she asked the court to allow her to obtain DNA samples from the deceased rapper in order to prove her claim.
Cleopatra Bernard, XXXTentacion’s mother, made a filing in court this week demanding that the petition be dismissed. She also filed a motion to keep Sanchez’s request to get a DNA sample from the rapper’s estate secret.

Cleopatra Bernard Reacts to Verdict
Rapper XXXTentacion, born Jahseh Onfroy, was killed outside a Florida motorsports shop in June 2018. Michael Boatwright, 28, Dedrick Williams, 26, and Trayvon Newsome, 24, were all found guilty of first-degree murder Monday.
During the trial, prosecutor Pascale Achille told jurors that Boatwright, Newsome and Williams set out that day to commit robberies, including going to the motorcycle shop where they spotted XXXTentacion. Once they recognized the rapper, they began shooting him repeatedly without any provocation.
After they sprayed the 20-year-old rapper with multiple gunshots, Boatwright, Williams and Newsome pulled a Louis Vuitton bag filled with cash out of the car and drove away. Their getaway driver was not harmed, Achille said.
She also pointed to cellphone data and Bluetooth tracking that showed Boatwright, Newsome and Williams in the same SUV at the time of the killing. She also relied on the testimony of Robert Allen, a former friend of the defendants who pleaded guilty last year to second-degree murder and awaits sentencing.
XXXTentacion’s Baby Mother Reacts to Verdict
A guilty verdict was handed down Monday in the murder trial of three men accused of killing XXXTentacion. After a long deliberation, jurors found Diedrick Williams, Trayvon Newsome, and Michael Boatwright guilty of first-degree murder and armed robbery with a firearm.
Cleopatra Bernard, XXXTentacion’s mother, shared her thoughts on social media following the verdict. She posted a photo of herself wearing a t-shirt paying to the rapper.
XXXTentacion’s baby mother, Jenesis Sanchez, is also reacting to the verdict. Her baby, Yume Onfroy, was born earlier this year to the late rapper.
Fans are wary of Jenesis following her recent behaviour, though. They believe she’s doubting whether XXXTentacion is the father of her child.
XXXTentacion’s Family Reacts to Verdict
XXXTentacion’s family was relieved to hear that a jury found three men guilty in the rapper’s murder trial. On Monday (March 20), Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams and Trayvon Newsome were convicted of first-degree murder for their roles in the death of the rapper Jahseh Onfroy outside a Florida motorsports store.
The trial ended with prosecutors linking Boatwright, Newsome and Williams to Onfroy’s killing through extensive surveillance video taken inside and outside the motorcycle shop and cellphone videos of them flashing fistfuls of $100 bills hours after the slaying. They also had the testimony of a fourth man, 26-year-old Robert Allen, who pleaded guilty last year to second-degree murder and awaits sentencing.
Defense attorneys accused Allen of being a liar motivated by avoiding a life sentence. They also said prosecutors and detectives did a poor investigation that didn’t look at other possible suspects, including the Canadian rap star Drake; he and XXXTentacion had an online feud.
