XXXTENTACION’s Killer Blows Kiss In Court After Guilty Verdict

    Fort Lauderdale, FL –

XXXTENTACION‘s alleged killer was captured blowing a kiss and smiling in court following his guilty verdict earlier this week.

The murder trial concluded on Monday (March 20), with three men being found guilty of first-degree murder and armed robbery almost five years after the rapper’s death.

28-year-old Michael Boatwright, who is alleged to have fired the deadly shots at the rapper, was spotted smiling and conversing with his lawyer just moments after being convicted in court footage shared by Law&Crime Network.

He then blew a kiss in the direction of the camera, but it’s unclear who it was aimed it.

A Broward County grand jury found the three assailants guilty of murdering XXXTENTACION outside a Florida motorsports shop in June 2018, according to The New York Times.

Prosecutors identified Boatwright and 24-year-old Trayvon Newsome as the gunmen, with Boatwright ultimately firing the deadly shots. 26-year-old Dedrick Williams was labeled the “mastermind” behind the robbery and served as the getaway driver.

All three men are facing life sentences, although the death penalty wasn’t on the table for the prosecution.

XXXTENTACION was shot and killed during an armed robbery outside of Riva Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Florida on June 18, 2018. The assailants took off with $50,000 cash in a Louis Vuitton bag that X had just withdrawn.

A fourth person in connection to the murder, Robert Allen, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder charges in August 2022. He took to the stand to testify against his cohorts during the trial in hopes of reducing his sentence.

The mother of XXXTENTACION’s son, Jenesis Sanchez, took to social media on Monday to react to the murder convictions.

“After five long years you may finally rest in peace,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “Gekyume will never get to meet you earthside but it is my job as a mother to ensure I share those special memories with him.”

She continued: “Jah was robbed of his life and Geky was robbed of his father. For this, I will never truly have complete peace but justice being served today helps the healing process.”
