Golden State Warriors Tie The Series Against The Raptors

Game two of the finals looked completely different from Thursday night.

The Warriors received the wake-up call from the game 1 loss. Throughout the opening of this year finals, we saw a collection of Raptor players remain consistent in the pain. Overall it was a collective effort from everyone on both sides of the floor that would ultimately stop Warriors in game one. A disinterested Golden State Warriors team, injuries, and depleted bench would be all the more reason for the Raptors to take advantage.

Early on we saw Draymond Green get into file trouble, along with Klay Thompson in a brief shooting slump. Furthermore, the two-time defending champions were reckless with ball handling leading to multiple turnovers. It would be Kawhi and Kyle Lowry that would help to push the Raptors to a game 1 victory.

Heading into game 2 the Warrior needed the momentum to shift in order to tie up the series. Throughout the majority of the first half, the Warriors trailed an anxious Raptors squad. It wasn’t until the start of the 3rd quarter, that we would see the Raptors struggling to make the land a basket. That included a 5-minute stretch without scoring. Furthermore, the Warriors would have an 18-0 run that would give Kevin Durant absent warriors the edge.

The Raptors relied heavily on the outside shooting that just wasn’t landing. Gasol seemed ineffective at the top of the key missing shot after shot. Furthermore, it was Vanvleet that would push for the momentum to change in the last four minutes of the game. Even more, it seems as though the Warriors couldn’t catch a break, with Klay Thompson will a strained hamstring that would ultimately not allow him to return to the game. Drake would continue to shift the energy from the sideline. Overall, Golden State would hold on to beat the Warriors 109-104.

Who do you think will win in the Warriors Vs. Raptors series? Can the Warriors come back and win the series? Will Durant come back at some point?
