    The Legacy Of Serena Williams Is Respected By Gatorade

    Hall of Fame tennis player Serena Williams’s legacy proves to be so impactful that household name brands feel obligated to pay tribute. Williams’ tribute is more than deserving; however, with her retirement rapidly approaching at the end of the US Open, many believe Serena Williams must go out with a bang with the help of Gatorade. Gatorade is deciding to change their famous logo, the letter “G” with an orange bolt through it, into an “S”. Not to mention, the newly released commercial narrated by Beyoncé, reported Jeff Beer for Fast Company.

    “When the world writes her down in history we’ll begin where she started, with love!” Beyoncé said in the video. “A love that started a movement! A movement to love exactly who you are!”

    The news of the logo change was officially reported on for the first time by Nick DePaula of ESPN. As well, it was noted that Gatorade is having a “special edition sideline towel and bottle” to honor Serena Williams in the last Grand Slam of the year. Williams was able to accomplish winning a total of 23 Grand Slam singles during her career!

    Serena Williams is Reaching her Pinnacle

    Serena Williams reaching the top of her profession while being embraced by one of the biggest brands in sports is iconic within itself. However, take a look back and realize she won her very first U.S. Open Championship in grand style at just 17-years-old (as reported by USA Today)! Starting Monday, she will step onto the U.S. Open Stage one final time.

    She’s set to faceoff with Danka Kovinic in her first-round matchup. Understand, the best of the best will be competing in this tournament. Surely, it will be interesting no matter how it plays it out!

    Interestingly, Gatorade wasn’t the only sponsor who decided to honor the great Serena Williams. Several star tennis players like Naomi Osaka, Coco Gauff, Madison Keys, and Sloane Stephens are some of the few Williams can look to transfer her legacy onto.
