Remy Ma is one of the artists that has helped to establish a foundation for female emcees. The former Terror Squad artist is currently facing some legal troubles that may endanger her livelihood.

Just a few days ago, Mrs. Mackie decided to turn herself into the New York police department. Furthermore, allegedly the reality tv star got into a physical altercation with Love & Hip-hop NY cast mate Brittany Taylor back in April. Overall, at the moment Remy faces a misdemeanor assault charge for deciding to punch Taylor in the face. The rapper’s publicist quickly put a statement out to address the ongoing allegations regarding what went down during the alleged dispute. Remy has been known not to bit her tongue when it comes to how she felt. This includes calling out Nicki Minaj and having beef with her.
Duke had this to say regarding the issue:
“no credible evidence to corroborate Taylor’s story,”
At the moment Mrs. Mackie has less than 85 days left of her court-ordered supervised parole. This, of course, puts her in further jeopardy regarding her freedom. Remy is now currently out on bond for $1,500, with a scheduled court date for May 24th. Remy just recently was released from jail a few years ago after an alleged shooting. After her release, the rapper released a clothing line along with other ventures. In addition, late last year she gave birth to her first daughter with rapper Papoose. She currently is one of the main hosts on Joe Budden’s State Of Culture.
