Juliana Madrid’s Latest Single, “Afterlife,” Explores the Fear of Wasting Time

21-year-old singer-songwriter Juliana Madrid, also known as “Jules,” has released her latest single, “Afterlife,” a promising alt-pop track that showcases her unique vocal style and introspective songwriting. The single is the first from her upcoming sophomore collection, set to be released on Neon Gold Records later this year.

In “Afterlife,” Madrid delves into the fear of wasting time, singing, “Hey! I’m not great, but I might be alright. So kiss my perfect afterlife goodbye. The haunting and evocative lyrics, combined with Madrid’s breathy vocals, create a memorable track that lingers with the listener long after the song finishes.

Madrid started in music at the age of nine, learning guitar with the encouragement of her parents, and has since honed her craft as a songwriter. Her debut EP received critical acclaim, and she has supported The Knocks and Cannons on tour. With “Afterlife,” Madrid continues to showcase her talent for combining relatable coming-of-age stories with magnetic pop songwriting.
