Judge Orders Stormy Daniels to Pay Donald Trump For Her Defamation Lawsuit

In a recent ruling, a judge has directed Stormy Daniels to provide an additional $120,000 in fees to Donald Trump as part of her defamation lawsuit.
The ex-adult film performer, known by her actual name Stephanie Clifford, had initiated a lawsuit against Mr. Trump back in 2018. This came after the president referred to her claims about an unidentified individual attempting to silence her regarding their alleged affair as a “complete con job” on Twitter. The 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals has now sided with the former president and ordered her to pay Trump’s attorneys another $120,000 in legal fees, reports CNN.
In addition to the $120,000, Daniels is also required to reimburse Trump’s lawyers for more than $500,000 they have already been paid.
Daniels was allegedly paid by Mr Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen for her silence about the 2006 affair she had with him.
It’s now been more than six years since the affair, and New York prosecutors are almost ready to charge the former president with criminal wrongdoing for his role in it.
The indictment is the first time a former President has been charged with criminally related to a sexual encounter.
This came after a federal appeals court ordered Daniels to pay Mr Trump more than $121,000 in fees for her defamation suit that she had filed against him back in 2018.
The former president has defended his actions in his own tweets and has said the hush money payments were made to cover up an alleged affair between him and Ms Daniels.
