New Year, New Brand
Cheesesteaks, The Eagles, and Music are just a few of the things that the City of Brotherly Love is famous for. It’s also no surprise that Philly is one of the biggest meccas for hip hop in the united states. Even in this age of streaming, it’s nice to turn on the radio every now and then. Whether you’re on your way home from work stuck in traffic or are just cleaning your house, there’s something about blasting music from the radio that just clicks.
Good Morning Philadelphia
In December 2019, Radio Station WPHI/Philly rebranded itself as Hip Hop 103.9. So to kick off the new year, they decided to add a new radio show called “The Morning Hustle”. For those that don’t know “The Morning Hustle” is a national radio program that is broadcasted through Reach Media. Icons Such as D.L. Hugely, Ricky Smiley and Rev Al Sharpton are just a few of the people who are apart of Reach Media. Starting this week, the show will air every morning on Hip Hop 103.9 from 6 am-10 am. The morning program is run by HeadKrack with his co-hosts Angie Ange, “On-Air” Jordan, Lore’L, and Billy Sorrells. With Philly’s Power 99 being under iHeart Media, some healthy competition is just what the city needs to keep the radio stations up to par and the music flowing.
