Did Tory Lanez Stage Colorism Beef on Set?

Tory Lanez was once the hero for defending a dark-skinned model against colorism, but now he’s looking more like the villain.

Recently, Lanez was a part of a video shoot for Nafe Smallz’s “Good Love.” While on set, Tory Lanez claims that the directors, Capone x Guise, attempted to swap darker skinned women out of one of the scenes for a more lighter skinned woman. Lanez reportedly didn’t like what the directors were doing and refused to let them switch girls, accusing them of discrimination. Even directors have a problem with the issue.

The whole thing is caught on camera, however, the directors are calling Lanez a big fat phony. According to Capone, Lanez‘s group of people were the ones who insisted the models be swapped out. In his words, Capone says that he’d “never allow something as disgusting as what Tory Lanez is portraying.”

In fact, Capone, and others on social media, are claiming it was all a publicity stunt. The dark-skinned also claims Lanez and his entourage were behind the fake plot.

On the other hand, though, Lanez is denying that he would pull such a stunt for his own benefit and is upset his good deeds are being flipped around on him. On Instagram, Lanez made a public statement defending his character. In the post, he says, “All parties that were involved know what happened in the 30 minutes that I was at the shoot. Whether or not they wanna be truthful or not. Much Love.”
