Chicago-based pianist and vocalist Cole DeGenova has just released his latest single, “Two Puffs,” an upbeat and dancey track that explores the vices we chase after. The song was the first track he wrote for his latest album, “Really Human,” co-produced by Georgia Anne Muldrow and released in April 2020 via Ropeadope Records.
The track was influenced by DeGenova’s experience of accidentally being dosed with LSD at a party. However, “Two Puffs” speaks to anyone who has chased after any vice, no matter what it may be. Adding Chicago house DJ and producer Anthony Nicholson enhanced the song’s energetic beats.
As a pianist, vocalist, producer, and composer, DeGenova has made a name for himself in the music industry, having recorded and performed with the likes of Chance the Rapper, Lupe Fiasco, and many more. “Two Puffs” is a testament to his ability to create compelling music that speaks to the human experience.
