Paris Jackson doesn’t even have a relationship with the rest of Michael Jackson’s family. Additionally, “Candy Shop” 50 Cent and his estranged son Marquise hardly speak to one another. Though, as of recently, the father and son mended their relationship during the passing of 50 Cent’s grandmother.
50 Cent And His Son May Never Get Along
As the old saying goes, blood is thicker than water. Family’s fight hard but they love harder. Not every family believes in the power of familial ties and love, but some do. Rapper 50 Cent and his son Marquise haven’t spoken to each other for years. The dou have what many described as a “complicated” and “horrible” relationship with one another. At one point, 50 Cent wrote on social media that he “wouldn’t have a bad day if his eldest son were hit by a bus.” The comment shocked fans. How much worse could their relationship get?
50 Cent And His Son Marquise Mend Their Broken Relationship
Fortunately, the two had their silver lining. The unfortunate bit; it happened on the day of 50 Cent’s grandmother’s funeral. Marquise’s mother, Shaniqua Tompkins, revealed during a live interview with Queenzflip that the two mended their relationship at the funeral service. Tompkins recalled the moment Marquise gave his father a kiss on the forehead at the rapper’s grandmother’s funeral six years ago. “Marquise hadn’t spoken to his father in years, it had to be about 2-3 years. . . If that wasn’t a beautiful gesture… he went and kissed his father on the forehead and proceeded back to his seat,” Tompkins told Queenzflip. At least the two put aside their differences for one day, all for 50 Cent’s grandmother. Hopefully these two will continue to work on their relationship one day.
