‘72 Miami Dolphins Continue to Celebrate Thanks to the Eagles

The 1972 Miami Dolphins continue to rejoice and celebrate the downfall of the Philadelphia Eagles. The last team to complete an undefeated season and win the championship was the 1972 Miami Dolphins. During the 1970s, the NFL season only consisted of a 14-game regular season. However, they managed to remain undefeated in fashionable fashion during their reign.

Nonetheless, this record has yet to be broken ever since. In 2007, the New England Patriots became seconds away from conquering this unbelievable accomplishment. Yet, the New York Giants led by Eli Manning and that ferocious defense held the Patriots just to 14 points. Ultimately, making them lose the Super Bowl and snapping their 18-game win streak.

This season the Philadelphia Eagles have dominated the NFL and have remained amongst the only undefeated team, until last night. On Monday night football, the Eagles were predicted to be the favorite by a significant margin (-11), according to CBS Sports. However, they fell short completely to the Washington Commanders snapping their undefeated season. While they were attempting to accomplish the impossible, there remains only one team who’s celebrating and that’s the ‘72 Miami Dolphins.

Miami Dolphins win the Battle but Will the Eagles Win the War?
