Here Are The 5 Most Expensive Coffee Blends In The World

Coffee is probably considered one of the most comforting drinks on the planet outside of beer, alcohol, and tea. It is popular amongst people of all ages, especially those who carve energy! Today, coffee has many different varieties, in terms of quality, flavor, and taste. However, the list does not stop there. Coffee can also be defined by the price you pay. So, in celebration of National Coffee Day, we are counting down the most expensive coffee in the world!
    BLACK IVORY COFFEE
1- BLACK IVORY COFFEE ($500 PER POUND)

Black Ivory coffee is made of feces! Let’s start there. The beans are fed to the elephant and they are chosen from the boat. This is how it works. The stomach acid of the elephant breaks down the protein of the beans, eliminating the bitter and strong taste of coffee. With notes of chocolate, malt spice and a hint of grass, Black Ivory coffee is apparently the best in the world for its distinct flavoring and methodology for ecological responsibility. Proclaimed at the world’s rarest coffee, Black Ivory is only sold primarily to select five-star hotels. But no worries, visit here if you ever want to pay $50 per cup.

    FINCA EL INJERTO COFFEE

2- FINCA EL INJERTO COFFEE ($500 PER POUND)

The beans for Finca El Injerto are the richest and smallest beans in the world. The beans are distinguishable by their coffee cherry exterior. But the Finca El Injerto is mainly recognizable for the immense process that goes into the nursery, harvesting, and processing of the coffee beans. In order to improve the quality of the grains, they are cleaned by a single washing channel and are broken twice.  And for $50 a cup, you can enjoy some of the world’s most distinct coffee.

    HACIENDA LA ESMERALDA

3- HACIENDA LA ESMERALDA ($350 PER POUND)

Hailing from the upper part of Panama, the beans used by Hacienda La Esmeralda are delicious and rich in flavor according to many sources. The magic can be found in growing the best varieties in ideal microclimates. Due to its unique rich flavor, Hacienda La Esmeralda’s coffee has won several awards around the world.

     KOPI LUWAK

4- KOPI LUWAK ($160 PER POUND)

Kopi Luwak is one of the most interesting coffees in the world. The main factor of its high price is the uncommon method of production. It has been produced from the coffee beans which have been digested by a certain Indonesian cat-like animal. The short supply, in comparison with the high demand, the different taste and the uncommon production methods define the value of kopi luwak – the most expensive coffee in the world.  The Kopi Luwak price per cup in a regular coffee ship will cost around $35 to $100.

    FLAT-ICED-COFFEE

5- SAINT HELENA COFFEE ($79 PER POUND)

The Saint Helena coffee has a very fragrant and light caramel flavor. While most farmers use fertilizer for manure, coffee growers in Santa Elana prefer the use of poultry manure to createt a distinguished and elegant flavor.
